Breaking Clay Pots

Clay is pliable and moldable when it begins out. Adding the right amount of moisture to continue to transform it. Molding until you have the right size, shape, and container for its intended use. Then let it sit and dry. Perhaps adding decoration or lacquer to fire at high heat. Or, an image, shape, dent design embedded for all use.

As humans, we do much the same. Shape, mold, decorate, and heat up to set.

The truth is we are ever evolving and no one container is sufficient to hold us through life. Calling for us to break clay pots molded long ago. To create new. Perhaps using pieces of the original pot, or making new. Knowing that by adding water we are continually molding ourselves to meet our needs.

Where we are- what is the wait?

The fluidity of life. The current. The flow of energy. The energy of creation, possibility, and infinite choice.

What pots do you need to break? What cycles, beliefs, behaviors have you grown out of?

The mold of long ago is no longer a container to hold you and more to contain you. To keep you contained to what or who you once were. Perhaps of who you once believed you were or what you were.  Don’t be afraid to break a few clay pots. It may feel liberating. Throw them if you choose.
You are an unending supply of clay – moldable, evolving, growing, expanding, contracting, living, breathing. Alive.
